Step 1

If using a mobile telephone network you will require a minimum of 3 bars of signal strength.

If using the internet (Wifi), to ensure you have the best possible experience, we recommend that you check you have a good internet connection.

The recommended minimum internet speeds are as follows:

  • Download: 3.5mbps
  • Upload 1.5mbps

If your Speedtest shows slower speeds than this, we recommend checking that no other devices (Eg. TV’s, Tablets, Laptops and other media devices) are using your internet connection.  This will ensure you have the full available speed for your appointment.

It is also a good idea to check that your device is not downloading any files during the appointment, this can include but is not limited to Windows updates, Movie or Music downloads or streaming for example Netflix and YouTube.

If your internet speed does not meet our platforms minimum requirement it will be necessary to conduct your appointment using another source. If this is the case, please message your therapist by using the “Send Message” button which you can find from the Therapist profile on the website, as soon as you can before your appointment, and they will arrange it for you.

You will receive an appointment email reminder 30 minutes before your appointment.

If your therapist has asked that you complete any assessments before your appointment can you please complete these via the Web site beforehand so that valuable time is not lost having to complete them during your appointment.

Step 2

Login to the Apple iOS App at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time on your iPhone or iPad.

Wait for your Therapist to call you at the scheduled appointment time.

Step 3

Answer the call by selecting the “Answer” button.


Please do not be concerned if there is a delay of a few minutes before your therapist calls you. If you have not received the call within 5 minutes of the scheduled appointment time you can login to the Website and message your therapist using the ‘Send Message’ button on the therapists profile page. This can be found by clicking the ‘Book Appointment’ button and searching for the therapist’s name.

In the unlikely event that the call gets disconnected, please remain logged in to the Apple iOS App and your therapist will call you back as soon as possible.

If the internet connection fails, please remain logged in and on the appointment screen. Once the internet connection is restored the call will automatically resume or you can end the call and your therapist will call you back.

Ideas to Improve your Experience

To ensure the best possible experience there are a few things you could do to prepare for your appointment.

  1. If you would like to prepare some notes on what you would like to discuss during the appointment, this can help some people.
  2. Many people find using earphones or a headset makes it easier to hear and more private.
  3. Please ensure you have a good internet connection. If you are using a mobile telephone network you will require a minimum of 3 bars of signal strength.
  4. If for any reason you are delayed and unable to let us know in advance please login to the Website as soon a possible as your therapist will continuously try to contact you until the end of the scheduled appointment time.
  5. We recommend that you rest your phone/tablet device against something in an upright portrait position, so you don’t get tired holding it. Please ensure that it is approximately one arm’s length away, so you and your therapist can see each other clearly.
  6. As you will be using the Apple iOS App can you please ensure push notifications are enabled on your device for the Dr Julian app. You can check this by going to ‘Settings’ > ‘Notifications’ > ‘Dr Julian’ > Allow notifications
