Who and what is Dr-Julian?

Dr Julian Medical Group Ltd can deliver NHS Talking Therapies services in various capacities: as a block contract provider, an AQP (Any Qualified Provider), or a subcontractor/outsource provider.

We offer a full range of clinical services and personalised care that is facilitated through our unique and bespoke technology.

Through our Dr-Julian platform technology we connect all patients to highly qualified, specialised and accredited therapists, who offer appointments face to face, online (video, voice, live messaging) or via telephone.

We have a secure web and mobile app platform that is easily accessible by tablets, mobile phones or computers. Patients can independently choose and book their own appointments, depending on preferences.

Our mission that no one should wait for treatment and our commitment to patient choice means that all patients are empowered to decide how their therapy is delivered, when it is delivered, and by whom.
We have a dedicated Customer Success team who support patients through every step of the process.

For NHS Services requiring a platform-only solution, Dr-Julian's technology is available as a SaaS license through an annual subscription.

Ability for patients to match their condition, language and therapy type to the most appropriate therapist (this can be pre-set to CBT/EMDR only if required).

No Travelling

Patients can have the appointment from their choice of location, typically from home but occasionally from other locations if away and treatment continuity is important.

TTAD Measures

TTAD outcome measures such as PHQ9, GAD-7, WSAS built into and stored on the app.

Online Assessments

Assessments can be undertaken online ahead of appointments and stored in the Patient Personal Dashboard.

Evidence

There is a growing evidence base supporting the use of tele-psychiatry and therapy appointments. A review of over 200 randomised controlled trials of tele-therapy/psychiatry appointments delivered via video link showed:

  • Equivalent clinical outcomes to in room therapy
  • Better patient satisfaction.
  • Usefulness of tele-psychiatry: A critical evaluation of videoconferencing-based approaches’ Chakrabarti S. (2015)
